SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2009, 2:00 PM
Music of Beethoven, Dvorak, and Brahms, performed by a trio of distinguished musicians from Los Angeles. Pianist Lucinda Carver, has been a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Capella Salisburgensis (Austria), and at the Carmel Bach Festival, and makes her summer home at Cape George. Violinist Sarah Thornblade is a member of the Eclipse and Denali String quartets, and the new music group, X-tet. Cellist Cecilia Tsan currently serves as Principal Cellist with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra.

Music of Rameau, Bartók Britten, Saint Saens, and Poulenc, performed by Jeff Rathbun, Principal Oboe, the Cleveland Orchestra, previously a member of the Atlanta, San Francisco, Oakland, and Honolulu symphony orchestras, Charles Ullery, Principal Bassoon, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Walter Gray, cellist and soloist with the Seattle Symphony, and William Doppmann, CMS of PT Artistic Director, who has had a long and distinguished career as a pianist and composer.

Music of Haydn, Bloch, Debussy, and Schumann, performed by a quartet of distinguished artists. Violinist Ronald Patterson is first violin of the Rainier String Quartet and concertmaster of the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra. Violist Paul Coletti’s career includes over 1500 concerts in every major U.S. city, at the Sydney Opera House, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, and more. Hamilton Cheifetz is cellist of the Florestan Trio, Portland State University’s resident ensemble, and is also a member of the Third Angle New Music Ensemble. Pianist for this third concert will again be Artistic Director William Doppmann.

These concerts take place in the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall in Port Townsend, which provides the intimate setting important for chamber music, as well as an outstanding Steinway concert grand piano.
